Itinerary Details

Day 01 : Dimapur – Kohima (70 kms/3 hrs drive)

Assistance on arrival and transfer to Kohima - the home of the Angmi Naga and capital of Nagaland. On arrival check into the hotel.

Day 02 : In Kohima

Morning we visit and photograph one of the most fascinating festivals of Nagaland – the Hornbill festival, where the various tribes of Nagaland get together to showcase their customs and traditions. Spend entire day at Kisama village – the location of Hornbill Festival. Evening we shall visit the Hornbill Night carnival (timing 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM).

Overnight stay at hotel in Kohima

Day 03 : Kohima – day trip to Khonoma (20 kms/1 hrs drive)

This morning after breakfast we shall visit Hornbill festival ground. Later afternoon, we drive to Khonoma – the green village. Khonoma is an Angami-tribe warrior village that is known for its battles with the English and for its leading role in the Naga freedom struggle. In recent years Khonoma has become famous for its community-based conservation projects and eco-friendly tourism initiatives. Evening stroll around the local market of Kohima. Return to hotel.

Day 04 : Kohima – Dimapur (70 kms/4 hrs drive)

After breakfast check out from hotel and transfer to Dimapur airport to board flight for your onward destination.

Permit Regulation for Foreign National – Nagaland

Foreign tourists visiting Nagaland must register with the Foreigner’s Registration Officer (FRO) of the District they visit or the nearest Police Station within 24 hours of their arrival. While guest are travelling by air via Dimapur airport, passport & India Visa will be verified on immigration checking, and while the guest are travelling by surface, passport & India Visa will be verified at check post.

RAP/PAP is still a requirement for Pakistani and Chinese nationals.
