Arrive in Beijing, the capital of China. You are greeted by your guide at the airport outside the luggage claim area with your name displayed and then transferred to the hotel.
Morning program takes you to Tian'an Men Square and the Forbidden City, the residence of Chinese emperors for more than 500 years. Afternoon sightseeing features the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for good harvests. Following is a visit to the Summer Palace, a summer resort for Empress Dowager Ci Xi. Visit a pearl market nearby and then transfer back to hotel.
The highlight today is to conquer the Badaling Great Wall, a symbol of the Chinese ancient civilization. On the way, visit a Jade Carving Factory. Drive back to city and stop by the Olympic venues, which are more often to be known as Bird Nest and Water Cube. You can take some photos outside
In the morning, take the high speed train to the ancient city of Xian. Meet and check into the hotel. Today you will enjoy a leisure stroll on the top of the Ancient City Wall, the best preserved in the world, and the Small Wild Goose Pagoda.
A full day tour recalls the glories of ancient Xian as you visit the burial site of an incredible army of 8000 lifelike Terra-cotta soldiers. After lunch drive back to the city and visit the Great Mosque at the Muslim quarter. This Mosque is only one in China that perfectly combines the Muslim customs and Chinese culture, and features like a unique garden.
In the morning you will fly to Lhasa. Arrive in Lhasa, the holy city of Tibet. Locked away in its mountain fortress of the Himalayas, Tibet has long had a unique hold on the imagination of the West. You are greeted by your guide and transferred to the hotel.
Tour starts from the religious Potala Palace built in the 7th century by the famous Tibetan king-Songtzen Gampo. The present one was built by the 5th Dalai Lama in the 17th century. It became known as the "Winter Palace" by the 1750, when the 7th Dalai Lama built the Norbulingka Park as his summer residence. After lunch in a local restaurant to taste the Tibetan cuisine, you will visit Jokhang Temple, situated in the old section of Lhasa. King Songtzen Gampo built this temple in the mid-7th century A.D. Now it is the most sacred place in Tibet. Pilgrims come here to pay homage from all over Tibet. Before transfer back to the hotel, enjoy a local Tibet family visit and share the tea with them.
Full day sightseeing takes you to Drepung Monastery. "Drepung" means "the hill of rice', because this white Monastery looks like a big hill of rice in Tibetan. This monastery occupies an area of 150,000 square meters with 7700 lamas and becomes the largest monastery in Asia. After that, you will visit Norbulingka Park. In 1752, the 7th Dalai Lama built the first palace in this summer palace for successive Dalai Lamas to carry out their political and religious activities during the summer season. Today Norbulingka has become a public park for picnicking, relaxing and entertainment. Take a leisure walk at Barkhor Street, located in the heart of Lhasa circling the Jokhang Temple. It means a pilgrim's inner circuit, and is the earliest street of old Lhasa city.
After breakfast fly to Chongqing, the mountain city. After a short visit to the ancient town of Ciqikou and Chongqing zoo, you will board your Victoria Yangtze River Cruiser
Have an early get-up to enjoy a spectacular journey on the mighty Yangtze River. After lunch, you will disembark at the ancient Fengdu and enjoy a visit to the legendary city of ghost. Before return to the cruise for the welcome banquet, you will explore the city of ghost by visiting the local temples.
Today's highlight is the cruise through the first of the fabled Three Gorges: Qutang Gorge framed by steep mossy cliffs Wu Gorge, celebrated for its 12 peaks and Xiling Gorge, the last and most scenic of all the gorges. You will have a memorable experience of the shore excursion of Goddess Stream with a sampan tour through the treacherous gorges.
Today you will view the historic Three Gorges Dam, the largest hydroelectric project in the world. After the shore excursion of Three Gorges Dam, you will disembark at Yichang in the afternoon. Upon arrival, transfer to the railway station and board bullet train to Shanghai, the financial and commercial center of China. Check in hotel.
Pick up at your Shanghai hotel lobby and transfer to visit the Zhujiajiao, the best-preserved ancient water town among the four ancient towns in shanghai with a history of 1700 years. Followed is the Xin Tiandi (New Heaven and Earth) and the French concession.
After breakfast transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
